Great Listen

Loved having the entire series in one purchase. Great storyline. Strong Characters. Loved the entire setting and world building.

Fun Adventure and Story

This was a fun story to listen to. The story remained focused on the adventure and everything ties up with no loose ends. The only complaint I will state is the narrator's pronunciation of "Arse" which is the Eastern spelling of "Ass" She pronounces "Arse" as it's spelt. It's minor, but something that did bothered me, though the word was used sparingly.
While "Arse" is the only swear in the story, I don't recommend giving it to a teen. There is heavily implied sex through out, and explanation of some biology. It's tame otherwise, and a recommendation from me.

Listen for at least 3 chapters first

I see a lot of people saying this book was not engaging to them and while that may be the case, I have found with numerous fantasy books I have to at least listen to/read the first three chapters. After that, I can kinda determine whether I will enjoy it or not. And almost every time, I am fully committed. I am in the third book of this series and find it amazing! I absolutely LOVE Caitlin Davies and have listened to many series’ with her narration. She was a wonderful choice for this series.
SPOILER ALERT :
That being said, I cannot understand what Vahly’s Griffon’s name is lol I have tried finding it on the internet but couldn’t. And Audible doesn’t allow captions so I can’t see the spelling of the name in order to know. I really want to know what his name is. I keep listening closely but can’t determine exactly what it is.

fun easy story

I enjoyed this because it was engaging and I could still listen while I worked.

It was a fun read. Kept me guessing the entire time. I loved the ending and the last book.

Enjoyable

I wasn’t sure because I have not read this author but I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the characters especially Nix and the narrator was very good. The epilogue left the door wide open for more to come?

The earth queen becomes the fierce power and binding force for all races

Caitlin Davies did a phenomenal job on one of my favorite fantasy series! Although there’s plenty of action and tension, the strength of the series lies in the relationships romantic, familial, friendship, and cooperation. Bravo!
