Great Light Omegaverse Story

I prefer lighter Omegaverse stories and Devyn Sinclair really delivers with her books. This one is no exception and was a great romance with just enough drama to keep me interested. I also appreciate that these are contemporary settings so it feels a bit more realistic and relatable.

My only issue was with the male narrator Edward Black. He had such a weird cadence, failed to switch characters a few times so dialogue didn't seem to fit, and by the end it just seemed like he was over the top. I didn't hate it enough to not enjoy the book, but by the end he wasn't keeping me engaged at times made me laugh at his acting.

I'm looking forward to the next books, but I'm likely going to read it instead.

There needs to be a follow up on her best friends. This was a good book.

Really good story

I really liked this story. I’m a sucker from an omegaverse story. Isolde was a little frustrating for parts of the story with her mental down talking but I loved that her men lifted her up and made her so happy.

I love most of this authors work. I was not a fan of the female narrorator sadly on this one. the male was great. hoping for someone with a little more inflection and excitement next book in this series.

It was awesome, until it wasn’t…

Okay, hear me out. This is a sweet story with a seemingly well-rounded, strong protagonist and a clear-cut arch nemesis. The steamy scenes were great - especially when narrated by the female narrator. But both narrators are amazing.

Note: spoilers and grumbling in 3…2….1….

Here’s the problem. Like so many other “fierce female finding her way in the world” stories, pretty much everyone in this LFC’s life has pretty drastically hurt her, including her new pack. Everyone.

Her ex boyfriend was painted the darkest. But her entire family blatantly disrespected her. Besides the big reveal, they invited her ex knowing she has issues with him. The whole family kept a massive secret from her. Her own pack kept something they knew from day one from her.

Every time one of these betrayals was revealed, the LFC very easily reasoned out why the person betrayed her and ten quickly forgave them. Hell, even the new girlfriend, who cheated with her ex and subsequently treated her awfully, got a quick pass.

Maybe I’m just too jaded for this sort of quick-close story style. Full disclosure, I have over 500 audibles, and at this point I’m looking for more bang for my credit. I wish the author’d just left those easy glide discussions out. This would’ve nabbed a perfect score.

The movie “The Wedding Date” is one of my fave chick flicks; this combines that movie premise with the AMAZING omegaverse goodness that only Devyn Sinclair is capable of! What are you waiting for…listen to this NOW!

I couldn’t put it down or pause it!!

I’m so happy first I was worried bc of the other audiobooks series from this author had a girl actor I couldn’t listen to back to back or kind of at all. But these actors were great. Even when they read the other gender parts it didn’t pull from the story like last time. If I had one complaint it was one time the guy had made his girl voice for another guy and it threw me off for half a second but even then I still loved the book and the actors I hope they read the rest of this series so I can keep doing the read at night and listen during the day thing I did with this book! It was great definitely read/listen to this book she’s a great author and they are great voice actors!

great story and spice

I loved this story! The plot kept you engaged, and the spice kept you entertained! The dirty talk was pretty good too!

More Please

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. The narrators were perfect. I can’t wait for Oceans story. While this book doesn’t end on a cliff hanger it leaves you wanting more books about the other characters. Love this author.

It was just ok

I loved the Slate City Omegaverse series, but this was just ok. There was not a lot of character development.
