Acerca de esta escucha

Some of the scariest and most interesting criminals are broken down and analyzed by Dr. Kris Mohandie, an expert police and forensic psychologist who has met - and evaluated - some of the most dangerous people who have walked among us. This book has numerous first-hand accounts of his work, and interviews for cases like the Angel of Death serial killer, racist serial assassin Joseph Paul Franklin, and even the O.J. Simpson case. Detailed case information, including excerpts of interviews he’s conducted with these offenders, provides a platform to learn shocking new information about hostage-takers, serial killers, mass murderers, violent “true-believers”, terrorists, and some of the worst predators on the planet.

Narrator YELLS but book is great.

I’m all for being passionate about your beliefs but when the tone and pitch of the narrator outright screams into your ear I get a little freaked out.

The content and structure of this book is overall fantastic and easy to follow along. I felt like I really learned something.

Besides an earache, this book is very good. The author knows his stuff.

"He is great", He

The author really loves himself. His voice sounds perfect for an AMC murder series. He doesn't really understand chapters however, or editing the unimpressive out for that matter

Not at all what I expected

I bought this book expecting a professionals informed take on the events he encountered while working with law enforcement. I anticipated a mature in thoughts and knowledge accounting from a professional. That is not what this book is. His understanding of the human psyche is completely missing. he is more like the offenders in their thoughts. He thinks he is smarter than the people he encounters.
as for the narration/author, it feels more like a man yelling at me. He uses a form of dialog that winds itself around a frame of thought and tells it in a way that is saying "if you don't see it my way you are an idiot."
The story line, which this is his story, builds and becomes more and more about blaming and shaming. If he ever did work with clinically empowered patients he would have found himself with out a practice.
It is sad that so many that go in to the criminal justice field, not because they want to find real answers to solve the issues around crime, but rather because it allows them to be without question right even when they are wrong. Power corrupts.
He needs to read some of the well informed professionals in the field of psychology and psychiatry. Some that have devoted their lives to questioning and investigating and being informed by the research outcomes. If Kris ever reads this please start with Iain Mcgilchrist. Then you would have a bit more of an informed understanding of the brain and how it works.
The arrogance of those who are in positions of power judging the actions of someone whose life is completely different than yours is malpractice and abuse of power. Too bad the criminal justice field doesn't hold itself to the same level of scrutiny and accountability it holds others.
Please don't read this book if you don't have a deeper knowledge and understanding about the issues involved in crime and the criminal justice field.
