The world changed the day the rifts happened. Trolls, elves, and other races from fantasy and myth emerged into a modern world, bringing magic with them. The world governments worked to segregate these new arrivals into refugee camps, which eventually became the nation of De’Vas. A nation of paranormals.
Five years after the rifts first appeared, Asher Grayson was deported, or as he called it exiled, to De’Vas since he could use magic. Now he is trying to carve a life out for himself in District 114. His roommate and best friend is an orc, keeping his dryad boss in line is a full-time job and the local beastkin gang has it out for him. As Ash works to hone his magic and navigate this new world, he finds himself in a dangerous situation involving the darker side of De’Vas. Loved it, wished we got to see the main character dig into his power a bit more, maybe learn some more spells and master a weapon but other than that was thoroughly pleased.

Awesome
This was incredible good, I love when stories mix modern world with mythical and try to make them coexist and this one didn't disappoint at all. the characters were great and lily was a riot. honestly I hope this is a long series because I want more of this

Chase wrote a fun story and Alyssa as always delivered a great performance. My first experience with Chase and he is a good story teller. I appreciated how he interwove the characters and events to bring a whole story. The characters were fun and each was an individual. I recommend this book and look forward to future series books

Wow! What a book!
This was an amazing surprise! I loved how the MC actually tried to gain strength and pushed himself

They Call Him THE STORM Awesome
Narration is fantastic as always Alyssa Poon knows her job and performs very well, voices and personalities are distinct and i can tell who is speaking without it being spelled out.
Story has a bit of plot armor but it is done well and the introduction of THE STORM has good set up and it makes sense when it happens,
Harem elements actually have a organic feel, much better than he is the only guy around
overall a good first book i look forward to the next one.

Amazing!
This was a wonderful first boo in what I hope becomes a long series. Love the characters, an MC that’s not a bumbling idiot and doesn’t make obvious mistakes. Good LI’s, a decent amount of spice. Wonderful world building.
