Interesting women's "micro" history book!

Super interesting, wasn't bored for a second. I love these deep dives into a small bit of history, especially women's history. I remember Katherine Gibbs--seeing those little ads in the classified section at the back of magazines. I only wish there had been a bit more of the general history surrounding each time period to give more information. There was enough to put everything in context but having read a lot of these types of books, this one was a little lighter on the history and more focused on the (short) stories of the women.
