Acerca de esta escucha
As they examine the stories of incredible women of the Bible, listeners will find hope, encouragement, and a strong sense of community in this beautiful, eclectic collection of writing and lyrics that reflect God’s faithfulness.
Bringing together some of the most beloved Christian authors and songwriters of today, Faithful guides listeners through the pages of Scripture to increase understanding of how God has always valued the integral role of females and how that shapes the lives of women today.
The Faithful project is a collaboration between three major ministry partners: David C Cook, Integrity Music, and Compassion International.
This beautiful, creative book will invite listeners to return again and again for reflection and inspiration through guided Scripture reading and writing prompts.

Luke’s gospel account is a literary masterpiece, but it doesn’t celebrate the elite. Instead, it’s like the biblical version of Shakespeare whose main characters are paperback kind of people like lepers, prostitutes, and tax collectors who were absolutely stunned by the compassion Jesus extended toward them despite their cultural status as outcasts. This book proves that the pretense of perfection is overrated and certainly isn’t a prerequisite for a relationship with God. Bible teacher Lisa Harper exposes the utter humanity and compassion of Jesus shared by Luke.

What does it mean to believe Jesus? Not just believe in Jesus, but actually believe what He said - and shape our lives around that truth? How would that affect the choices we make? The way we see the world? The way we conduct ourselves with other Christians? In this audio Bible study, Lisa Harper answers these questions by looking at the lives of the believers in Acts and how Jesus’ command to spread the gospel forever shaped their lives....

Life often looks so very different than we hoped or expected. Some events may simply catch us off guard for a season, but others shatter us completely. We feel disappointed and disillusioned at best and overwhelmed and hopeless at worst. We quietly start to wonder about the reality of God’s goodness and why he allows us to suffer and experience grief and loss. Lysa TerKeurst understands this deeply. But after many tears, godly counseling, and prayerful seeking, she's also discovered that our disappointments can be the divine appointments our souls need to radically encounter God.

Let's be honest: the life you're leading isn't the one you've always dreamt of. And maybe the person you've become isn't who you imagined you'd be. Sure, you can work longer, love harder, and eat better. You can scrub the surface of your life until it gleams. But that won't address the fact that you've somehow lost sight of who you really are. Working from the core message of Ephesians 1:11, Jo Saxton implores women to reject mistaken identities. Relying on personal stories from her own life, she identifies key scenarios where identities develop that are not true to God's vision, demonstrating the importance of knowing one's name, embracing the gifts you've been given, confronting body issues, managing seasons of depression and grief, and letting go of perfectionism.

Are you weary? Worn out by the bills that keep stacking, a virus that keeps raging, or a heart that keeps aching? If so, the book of Esther brings welcome news: Relief will come! To be clear, you didn't ask for this struggle. You want to get past it. You don't know how much longer you can hold up. But what if God is with you in this difficult season? When life seems off the rails, remember this truth: the minute you bow your head to pray is the moment God lifts his hand to help.

In a culture that can belittle womanhood on the one hand - making it irrelevant - and glorify it on the other - making it everything - it's hard to know what it really means to be a woman. But when we understand womanhood through the lens of scripture, we see that we need a bigger category for what God has called "woman". This book breathes fresh air into our womanhood, reminding us what life in Christ - as a woman - looks like.

When you’re in the midst of suffering, you want answers for the unanswerable, resolutions to the unresolvable. But there is a pathway through this suffering. It’s not easy, but God will use it to lead you toward healing. This path is called lament. In the midst of your darkest times, you will discover that lament leads you back to a place of hope - not because lamenting does anything magical, but because God sings a louder song than suffering ever could, a song of renewal and restoration.

Is real friendship too risky? We live in a world where real friendship is hard to find. Suspicious of others and insecure about ourselves, we retreat into the safety of our small, self-made digital worlds. Tragically, even the church can become a place that reinforces this isolation. Jesus models a much richer vision of friendship. Scott Sauls, pastor and teacher, invites you to see the breadth of Christ's love in this audiobook, Befriend.

When we live with unresolved anger or hurt, the result is nearly always bitterness, broken relationships, and unhealthy behaviors. Unforgiveness not only sabotages our interactions with those around us, it impedes our own spiritual growth and inner peace. And it can happen to anyone. In her most vulnerable writing yet, Ruth Graham reveals how a visit to Angola Prison inspired her to release the unforgiveness lurking in her own heart - toward others, herself, and even her heavenly Father and her earthly father, evangelist Billy Graham.

Amy Grant’s introduction is the only thing good about the audio performance of this book.
I bought this audiobook to hear Amy Grant’s voice and it is the only thing that has me giving stars towards the performance. I give NO STARS towards the other reader. The other reader just sounds too much like a robot. Maybe it wasn’t recorded well, however, this performance should have had the complete cast of authors. If they redo this book with all of the authors reading it, I would buy it AGAIN! And, having the authors read it will make it more successful. This audiobook is just not very good besides the introduction. I had to read the physical book to know that the story is good. The audiobook is just too monotone - besides Amy’s introduction. Worth the sale for the book but would be worth so much more with a full cast.
