A must for browncoat fans

A lot more story to help ease the ending of the tv show and it has the feel of it too

Simply Excellent In All Regards

I can’t describe the sheer joy of this Firefly book. The TV series was one of the best ever. Iconic. This book is a fantastic continuation of the story. Awesome!

Another shiny addition to the 'verse

So, I really enjoyed the first book in this series, this one slightly less so. I expected a little more backstory on Jayne than we got here, and there were some of what I thought were poor choices in anachronisms referenced here and there throughout the book.
All in all though, I did enjoy it, and I'm looking forward to the next one.

Another great story

This one is really good and the great narration carry’s forward from the first book.

I like that they’re filling in the backstory and characters more and more as the story unfolds.

The very end of the story was a little weaker but that’s a small thing and only affects the last half hour or so.

If you enjoyed the first book you will definitely enjoy this one. It’s true to the cannon and characters.

Just like the show, amazing. I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Narrator did a great job.

Excellent "Sci-Fi Western"

Story is awesome and the reader did an excellent job. I really enjoy the western feel of the planet in which the story takes place, along with various other themes, languages, and overall vibes that blend sci-fi and western genres.

Simply exceptional in every way

The plot captures the heart of the Firefly series. You actually picture the characters.

Perfect books to fit between the episodes. It's a shame the series had to come to an end

I am so happy that I discovered this writer! You can tell that James Lovegrove has actually watched the series and knows the characters. Kindred Browncoats!!

overall a great tale, with one hiccup

It's got the banter down, the tension, the characters we love doing what they do. I can't say much, overall it's a great story to add to their world.

The only hitch I have is there's a segment that's a setup for a reversal/reveal later that feels essentially like the author is lying to the reader. There is zero reason that the character in this segment would act, think, or feel the way they are if later they're found to be notb that. I can't explain more without spoilers but it feels completely fabricated merely to throw the reader off, and tarnished the story slightly.

That aside I'm enjoying these books and hope that doesn't happen again.
