Resumen del Editor

Jackson Rivers has always bucked the rules—and bucking the rules of recovery is no exception. Now that he and Ellery are starting their own law firm, there’s no reason he can’t rush into trouble and take the same risks as always, right?

Maybe not. Their first case is a doozy, involving porn stars, drug empires, and daddy issues, and their client, Henry Worrall, wants to be an active participant in his own defense. As Henry and Jackson fight the bad guys and each other to find out who dumped the porn star in the trash can, Jackson must reexamine his assumptions that four months of rest and a few good conversations have made him all better inside.

Jackson keeps crashing his bicycle of self-care and a successful relationship, and Ellery wonders what’s going to give out first—Jackson’s health or Ellery’s patience. Jackson’s body hasn’t forgiven him for past crimes. Can Ellery forgive him for his current sins? And can they keep Henry from going to jail for sleeping with the wrong guy at the wrong time?

Being a fish out of water is tough—but if you give a fish a bicycle, how’s he going to swim?

Another Amazing addition to the series! crossover with the Johnnies series

I have been waiting for this book to come out on audible forever! I like Greg Tremblay/boudreaux so much that I wait to read these books until it's out on audible because the reading voice in my head just doesn't do it justice compared to Greg! I am so excited that this came out and it was just as incredible as I hoped it would be! I started listening to it but when I realized it was quite the crossover I went back and purchased all the Johnnies books and I loved those too! I did the same thing when I didn't recognize Ace and sunny I went back and purchased racing with the Sun! honestly it's worth it to know where the characters are coming from! next on my list is Henry's story with flophouse! thank you so much Amy and Greg for a few hours of vacation from real life! you tear my heart out but you give me so much hope at the same time thank you! 💜

AWESOME!

I LOVE this series! Jackson and Ellery get into so much trouble each book. I just love the way Amy Lane writes the characters, I’m always drawn into their lives and mysteries.

Greg Tremblay’s narration is excellent, he brings the chat to life and always leaves me wanting more when the audio is over.

I CAN NOT wait for the next!!

Another wonderful addition to the Fish series

This series tells one of my favorite types of stories. There is an ongoing story with new puzzles to solve, but each book ends with a firm resolution to the existing puzzle. The main characters are in a constantly evolving relationship that has both passion and affection. The social commentary is thought provoking and offers a solution to serious problems. Best of all, I was pleasantly entertained while I learned a little bit about how someone else sees the world they live in.

I enjoy this series. I like the narration so much that I relisten to all the previous books whenever a new one is released in audio. I am looking forward to the next book, and I hope there are many more stories with Jackson and Ellery.

Great Series

I absolutely love this series, and the spinoff. You can read it at as a stand-alone, but I think it would be more enjoyable if you read them in order. Also, if you have read the Johnnies series and see characters from that series as well. This story picks up a couple of months after the finish of the previous one. Ellery and Jackson are working on opening their office and while doing that, Jackson was struggling with nightmares and trying to hide his state of mind from Ellery. I really wished that Jackson would get it through his thick skull that Ellery is there for the long haul. Anyway we meet Henry, who doesn’t want to admit he is gay and really has been nasty to his brother who is married to another man and Henry never really accepted it. It all goes to how they were raised in a homophobic home. Anyway, Henry is being accused of killing a former Johnnies boy and his one night stand. So not only are they trying to keep Henry out of jail and find out who the killer is, but who is behind an influx of drugs. We have a bad guy popping up from the past and an assassin who is their friend who comes to their rescue. I had part of it figured out but not the why and who all was behind it. I can’t wait for the next book!

Excellent and awaiting the next one!

damaged-people, emotional-support, emotional-abuse, pedo, nosocomephobia, ex-cop, lawyers, law-enforcement, actors, action, cardiac-issues, violence, drugs-issues, drug-trafficking, family-by-choice, family-dynamics, family-drama, pet-cat, banter, unputdownable, investigations, investigators, invested-erotica, LGBT, PTSD, fragile-personalities, framed, snark-fest, punny, m/m romantic-suspense, crime-fiction, thriller, support-system, suspense, friends, friendship, series*****

Not sure what's the best part: snappy snarky dialog, ongoing love affair, fascinating old and new characters, or creative/inventive story-lines. The new characters are related to the opening of Ellery's new law office and their first clients. Those clients center around a small film studio, the unusual lives of the actors involved, and the drug pushers who want them out of the picture. Lots of plot twists and disruptions.
I've been waiting for the audio and Greg Tremblay is an absolutely fantastic voice actor! When is the next one out?!

I love these characters and this series.

They're fighting the good fight we all wish we would see. The associated characters and their struggles bring depth to the fight.

Worth the wait

I am so glad that I waited for this to come out on audio! I had listened to the first 5 books and this one is just as good!
Narration was spot on. Storyline kept me invested and introduced a few new characters. And I absolutely love “LucySatan” as a name for Taylor! I hope this series continues. I will buy them all on audio!

Surprisingly Boring

Not enough action.

Too much explaining. The information dumps were so long that I got confused many times.

Too much Jackson with new character.

This story could have been worse. Thankfully, I read the Johnies series already. I’m wondering if there were characters from another series also.

This story had great potential, but it fell flat for me. This is the first Amy Lane book that wasn’t great.
