The family is constantly growing, as the need to find homes for so many abused children is answered with joy by the residents of Swenson Castle. Leah tries to adjust to the life, so different from her home in Virginia, as her past life calls, tugging at her heart: "Be careful what you ask for."
All the while, Banyan's sister Zyanna is watching, waiting for her chance to destroy Freya and Leah, to enslave Zeal.
