Desde su más rolliza infancia, el gordito Casciari arruinaba las fotos. Todas las fotos. Con el tiempo las cosas cambiaron. Se había convertido en un adolescente que arruinaba, sin querer, los momentos importantes de su vida: amores juveniles, estudios, vidas ajenas y la salud de sus mayores. El clima de Mercedes, el agobio de la situación familiar y la necesidad de escapar, lo impulsaron a la búsqueda de sí mismo por el camino de la escritura, el único sitio donde todavía es posible inventarse un pasado mejor.
"A los trece años empecé a desarrollar esta patología extraña, perversa, fruto de algún complejo o trauma no resuelto. No sé bien por qué lo hacía, pero no era capaz de evitarlo".
