Resumen del Editor

In 1854, Caulborn agents stopped an interdimensional warlord named Sakave from conquering our universe. With protective extradimensional barriers in place, Sakave's attempted conquest is now little more than a note in the Caulborn's archives.

That is, until the recent catastrophe at Ashgate Penitentiary weakened those barriers and made Sakave a threat again. Things get worse when Commander Courageous gives Vincent Corinthos a dangerous piece of advice, which fractures those barriers even further.

Tapped for a black ops mission to repair the damage, Vincent finds himself under the command of a man who doesn't trust him, and allied with an enemy he hasn't seen in 400 years. If they succeed, Earth and the Caulborn might pull through unscathed. If they fail, life as we know it ends.

STILL GOING STRONG. ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!

Most enjoyable. Action all the way and the Calbourn agents valiantly fighting against for the world. The antagonist is a warlord of very strong principles of his own and he has been conquering a number of places and making the inhabitants obey his laws. Now he is looking towards earth. Very interesting plot and well performed by Ian McEuen.

IN LOVE!!!!!!

What did you love best about Fractures?

Corinthos. . .Cpt. Courageous. . . THE TRANSITIONS. . . Character growth and losses that become growth. . . PARADOXES. . . No Petra?!? Where is she in this novel?

What did you like best about this story?

PARADOX: Cpt Courageous is Corinthos who has had great loss, went over the deepend, broke with the chroniclers, gave advice to his younger self (Vincent Corinthos) to affect positive outcomes for the future of the brightside and gave up his life to do so, SOOOOO that his younger self could make better choices AND change the outcome of his life, THUS in the process of doing so, Vincent solves the problems, fixes the time stream, saves the brightside!! Thus altering the possible time stream of becoming Cpt. Courageous. . .or so it would seem. GREAT STUFF!!

What does Ian McEuen bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

McEuen's voice is a bit teenage-ish in tone, but not in skill. This gives the feel of a young in-experienced yet competent, eager to learn yet wise, growing hero. He becomes the authors intent.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes.

Any additional comments?

In love with this series.

absolutely a must-listen

I cannot even describe how much I love this series of books. The stories transport you to another world and you feel as though you are living them yourselves. This story in particular was very interesting and exciting throughout the entire story. This is a must listen to for sure

The worst

This is the worst book. Vincent is more cautious in his decision making but he loses qualities/relatiosnhips that were so appealing to from the start of the series. Petra is mentioned maybe 5 times. Gearshifter Kristen and Megan has may have an equivalent of 2 pages. These are characters that that added quirkiness snarkiness and other qualities that balanced Vincent and well off his smart alec jokes. These were main characters in the series and are barely a footnote here!

The vampires, lycanthropes, fae, and gremlins that presented the conflict in the first book are gone. Much of the action in this book is a result of the catastrophic at Ashgate Penitentiary fiasco, which effected the time stream.

To correct the time stream issue, Vincent finds must work with villains he fought in the past and the Inquisitor, who does not like or trust him. Correcting the problem results in major changes in Vincent’s life. It let me wonder, which can first the chicken or the egg? Is the first Vincent we meet a result of the time stream issue? I am a very linear and it got to confusing.

Since the Ashgate story we knew something sinister was going on in the back ground somewhere. I feel Nicholas Olivo, the author just threw some things at a wall and what stuck was thrown in the story without regard to character attributes.

Herb has been in a coma since book 2, come on do something for the man.
