What a great introduction to Freddie with these three books. I have to admit I was hooked at the first story. Humor, quirky characters and a mystery in each one that will have you guessing!!

cozy historical mystery

I liked these books, I think I already had the first one. Droll humor, The accent in the second one grated on my nerves. It was good, then got snobby. I'm guessing they weren't recorded all at the same time.The stories themselves were good, kept me guessing as to who was the killer. Enjoyed except the accent in 2

I'm now a Pilkington-Soames fan

Gethyn Edwards is brilliant as the reader. The stories have characters with just enough depth for you to like them or distrust them. I never guessed 'who done it'.

Inventive and entertaining

Good plots appealing characters witty dialog fast paced and constantly entertaining. Really enjoyable and many titles to keep one interested. The omnibus is excellent value.

Couldn't get past chapter 2.

Storyline way too slow. I tried several times to listen but couldn't get past chapter 2.

Painfully dull

Annoying characters and dull story. I forced myself to listen beyond the first few minutes but can’t stomach the entire episode.
