This 10-session course is designed to support English-speaking 6th graders, typically aged 11 to 12, in their journey to learn French. The course is designed to make language learning both engaging and approachable for young learners, focusing on building a strong foundation in the basics of key French vocabulary, verb conjugation, and essential grammar rules.
Each session is structured to introduce new material while reinforcing previously learned concepts through engaging exercises and interactive lessons. Students will have opportunities to practice speaking in French by repeating words, building confidence in their language abilities as they progress. The course also includes simple listening exercises to test comprehension. Special emphasis is placed on mastering verb conjugation and sentence structure, as these are key components of becoming proficient in the language.
To support learning, the course includes review modules and quizzes throughout. These reviews are strategically placed to help students revisit important concepts and vocabulary, ensuring that they retain what they’ve learned. Quizzes provide a fun and interactive way for students to test their knowledge, track their progress, and identify areas where they may need extra practice. This combination of learning, review, and self-assessment is designed to foster both short-term retention and long-term mastery of the French language.
