Syndicated cartoonist Aaron McGruder, Google founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page and remembering Dr. Shirley Glass on this edition of Fresh Air. Aaron McGruder's strip The Boondocks follows the escapades of Huey and Riley, two brothers from the inner city sent to live with their grandfather in a Chicago surburb, where most of their neighbors are white. The strip is read in over 35 newspapers nationwide. McGruder is currently working on a feature film and a television series based on his characters. Google co-founders Sergey Brin and Larry Page talk about building the world's largest search engine. Google is available in 36 languages. Brin and Page founded the company in 1999 when they were graduate students in computer science. Dr. Shirley Glass was an expert on infidelity research. She was also the mother of Ira Glass, host of public radio's This American Life. Shirley Glass died on October 8th of breast cancer. She was 67. She had been on Fresh Air to discuss her book, NOT Just Friends: Protect Your Relationship from Infidelity and Heal the Trauma of Betrayal. (Broadcast Dates: October 14, 2003 and February 17, 2003)
