To swim in that river full of shining stones was one of the most beautiful things that ever happened in her life. Somehow she knew the names of the stones: emerald, ruby, topaz, sapphire, sardonyx, onyx, jade, pearl, lapis lazuli... she just didn't see any diamonds.
