Producer Askia Muhammad’s family said that going down south is like going home. His immediate family, however, left the state when he was an infant, taking him to Los Angeles. So it was a journey of discovery when he took a trip to the Mississippi Delta to find the true meaning of the Blues. Everyone has hard times throughout their lives, but does that classify as the Blues? Producers Askia Muhammad and Debra Morris search for an answer while going home.
