Could not finish
I really enjoyed the first book but this one could not finish. Could not keep taking the lead woman whining and think she know better than the ones trying to help her. When I listen to books I don’t want hear whining when things not done to suit her there enough of that in real life. Some but all though the book be glad someone going help you and she may not like what’s done to brother but she intent on killing even after she told by the ones helping her they don’t do that. She rather kill than have put in jail no I don’t like that.

Like a bad episode of A-Team
I could almost hear the 80’s opening line:
“If you have a problem, and if no one else can help,
and if you can find them, maybe you can hire …the A-Team.”
Only this series has neither the camp nor the personality of the show.
Each book has a white guy helping a white girl take down a crime group boringly.
The plot, dialogue, and sex are all vanilla.
Even the narration is vanilla (click on a random chapter in any three books and
you won’t be able to tell which of the three FMCs or MMCs are speaking.)
I got all three books in this series and am having buyer’s remorse big time.
Do I even bother with book 3?
