He was alongside Lee at Gettysburg (and counseled him not to order the ill-fated attacks on entrenched Union forces there). He won a major Confederate victory at Chickamauga and was seriously wounded during a later battle. After the war Longstreet moved to New Orleans, where he dramatically changed course.

sweeping history
I listened to this in the background during slow parts of the workday. As a huge history buff I enjoyed the overview of the history of the "american" frontier as it was understood from a historical perspective. Narrator's voice/tone was a perfect fit for the subject
