white knuckle listening
Was that necessary? I hated that the author kept jumping around from one scenario to another and that the narrator barely took a breath between a tense moment and background. Loved the characters. Good story but author could take a lesson in storytelling. Her means of keeping the reader on the edge of their seat can only be described as "cheap tricks," The story and characters deserve better. Lee is a sensational narrator.

It was okay but could've been shorter
So many characters make it confusing and the ending was a bit nebulous. The ending pieces didn't coalesce like they could have. Kind of anticlimactic
