Resumen del Editor

Don't miss this laugh-out-loud, enemies-to-lovers romance that's How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days meets White Collar with a dash of The Thomas Crown Affair thrown in!

All Jolene Carter has ever wanted is a bakery of her own. There's only one problem. Her father, Robert Carter, is a world-renowned art thief and she's, well, sort of his protégé. But he's promised her this next job in New York will be their last, and she won't let anyone get in the way of her dreams...especially not the distractingly delicious FBI agent hot on her tail.

Agent Nate Parker has been on the Robert Carter case for years, and if rumors of the aging criminal's retirement are true, this might be his last chance to nail him. With the legacy of his late father in the back of his mind, the stakes are more personal than anyone realizes. He won't let anything stand in the way of justice...especially not the red-headed vixen who keeps giving him the slip.

He's a cop who'd never bend. She's a con who'll never break. But all's fair in love and larceny...

I loved the characters in this book !

Hot Pursuit is a must-listen for anyone who loves a good romantic comedy mixed in with some fabulous baking references.
It's a very entertaining listen, thanks to the excellent characterizations by the male and female narrators.

Nate, a straight laced, diligent FBI agent intent on finally catching the criminal he has been chasing for many years, meets his match in Jolene, the criminal's baking obsessed daughter. Nate is a driven, rule follower, played brilliantly by the male narrator, whilst Jo is a rule breaker - what ensues is a delightful and highly entertaining example of the fact that opposites do attract.

The narrators do a great job bringing this book to life by creating distinctive and engaging characters with just the right amount of romantic tension and comedic relief.

It’s a very easy book to listen to and I was hooked until the very end. Looks like it's the first book of a series. Can't wait until the next one.

I just wish someone would invent a Coopie or at least share the recipe!

Bakers, Art Thieves, FBI, an Enemies to Lovers Must Listen

I swooned and laughed in equal parts in this charming audiobook!
Very few weak links in it. The story was often surprising but always felt grounded in something relatable. Some wonderful stretches of writing and just ideas in general in it (though apologies are due to Dominique Ansell). The narrators both work really well as foils for eachother: the male plays the fastidious, stickler for the rules down to a tee, and the female absolutely nails the carefree criminal with a heart of gold. A great team effort from them both and from the author.
In terms of critique: there’s a stretch later on in the book, before the excellent climax, where the leads go their own ways for a little bit that, while entertaining, misses the magic of Hot Pursuit at its best.
But overall, this is one of the best audiobooks I’ve heard on the platform, with lovely little flourishes in writing, narration, and production throughout.

A Nice Change of Pace

This is the first book I’ve read of this author’s and it was a nice change of pace from typical rom-com books. I liked the story and the characters. My only critique would be the male narrator. At some points I couldn’t imagine Nate having the voice of the narrator. Overall, great read.

Great Rom Com Great Narration

This book was fun to listen to. With an enjoyable story line and suggestive tones.
Just good fun.
I liked the pace of book and the way it was read by both the narrators
The dynamics between the narrators was good, and the male reading was particularly strong.
