From the author: In 1997, I authored this story when I was nearly 10 years old for my school's Young Author's Faire. I recall feeling a profound sense of pride in my achievement. Many special thanks to my mother for her editing support. Over the years, I held onto this piece of my childhood primarily as a cherished memento. Fast forward to 2019 when I became a parent myself, and the inspiration dawned on me to bring this story to life.
