lots of repetitive emotions/dialogue

there was a lot of repetitive dialogue. It finishes without you getting any closure on the story. the next book isn't available on audio but on other platforms. the main character Cara is pretty self absorbed; a loner that doesn't hesitate to ask others for help but you don't see her helping anybody else. It was easy to listen to while cleaning the house, meaning if you missed something then it didn't impact you understanding the story. If you haven't read a book on those romance books apps then you will not like it. on those apps the story will drag on and on bc the author usually works on it daily and repeats the prior chapter with the plot barely making any headway which leaves the books with a lot of chapters that didn't have to be there. I do appreciate this being on Audible bc those apps can get ridiculously expensive. I will probably read the second book on Kindle bc I don't like leaving things unfinished but if the next book doesn't have significant advances in the development of the story then I will stop and not read the third. However it is an easy story but to follow and you end up caring about the characters and where the story is going, it just takes a long road to get there. But the concept is intriguing. I just think if there wasn't so much inner dialogue from the characters then the story wouldn't have dragged on. If you are reading for steam then you will be disappointed, there is a scene or two that halfway goes there but that's it. Maybe there will be more in the next book.
