Thoroughly impressed

I'm an audio engineer who has almost exclusively worked in recording music, and I am glad I chose this book. It filled the gaps in my knowledge, as well as a much easier way to bring my podcasting partner up to speed on the tech. Your explanation of how compression works should be plastered on every surface in schools and studios.

Excellent book for a beginner

I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking to start their podcast. I purchased the audible version which worked great. It allowed me to learn something new while I was driving. I also appreciate the fact that David Power responded to a few of my emails providing additional recommendations and feedback. Thank you David!

Makes Podcasting Technology Understandable

The book and videos provide a great road map to getting the aspects of doing Podcasting under control and will make you feel comfortable moving forward with the all the technology, including the software, necessary to get you set up to do a Podcast. The videos included with the book are an added bonus and well worth watching. If you want to start Podcasting, this book is the starting point. The book will save you a lot of time, effort, money and give you the knowledge that you are making the right technology decisions as a beginner or an expert Podcaster that wants to upgrade their technology.

exactly what I needed

step by step instructions on starting a podcast, the needs, the want, the got to have. this book gave more info than what the titles says. I felt like deleting all other books i had on launching a podcast while listening to it. great tone of voice. great listening pace, and love the interviews at the end. you need this book informationn in any format you can read it. I'll be re-listening to that book as I lunch my own podcast in the next couple of months, it's just that greatly informative.

I liked the author's lean toward getting right to it! No beating around the bush. The author presented sufficient detail at the right technical level allowing me to get started with podcasting within hours of starting to listen to the book. The bonus tracks at the end of the book were informative. The author provides web based reference materials and training as part of the book purchase.

Beware of the trap

There was some semi-useful info in this book. However, it's no good unless you take advantage of the "free video course." Don't bother. It's a scam to get you into his web where you're dripped a new video every day for 15 days then you can no longer access any of it unless you pay up. VERY misleading. It started feeling real slimy so I just deleted the e-mail and will opt out when the next e-mail comes.

David, I know you're reading this. You've got a halfway decent book. Why not concentrate on getting more listeners for your audiobook rather than going down the shady trail of bait and switch? Provide the information you promise and stop scamming folks with the promise of a free video course which isn't really free at all. So disappointing.
