Beautiful research, reporting and memoir on c-sections

This was an empowering and healing book about c-sections and women’s lack of autonomy in the U.S. medical system. I also loved the reading of this book, very genuine and natural sounding

Rachel weaves the story of her own journey and experiences with that of the history of obstetrical care and the hopeful future in an honest, sometimes funny sometimes heart wrenching but necessary and authentic manner. A must read/listen for pregnant people and those of us who are privileged enough to attend laboring and birthing people.
