Great study material for Japanese learners

Full transparency, this book should have been called English stories in Japanese, since they were all clearly written for or about the UK. It is nicely narrated so it’s easy to understand both in Japanese and English for non-natives, but the logic of translation is beyond me: English translation can either come after one sentence of Japanese text or after an entire paragraph of text with up to 10 sentences. Having more consistency would be nice.
Also it has glitches, maybe it’s just on my device, but it feels like some small parts of texts are missing, I tried playing from the start hoping it was something on my side, but it doesn’t seem so.
Overall a great study material, I am so happy to find it

Good Construction, Could Have Been Better

Well constructed, but could have been better. English VO is too widely separated between long stretches of uninterrupted Japanese, so it’s hard to pinpoint phrases. Im interested to see if this issue goes away for me after multiple readings though. A few audio editing glitches too. [AUDIBLE]

The narrator did a good job. It was neat to have both languages. I would recommend this to others.

Not bad for a bilingual book.

The content was useful but a little dry. Translations into standard American English would be more useful. Some of the British English translations seemed a bit awkward or embellished.

Boring and impractical

I don’t understand what is supposed to be captivating in these stories, I rarely listened to anything so boring… It sounds like a very plain description of an eventless average office life.
Besides. The translation usually comes only after several sentences, up to an entire long paragraph, so it’s almost impossible to remember anything and connect the Japanese words or expressions with their meanings in English.
Absolutely useless, very disappointing.

Will there be revisions published?

Currently the English only tracks go straight from Story 3 to Story 5. There is one less track in actuality then shown in the contents in the PDF. ...technically yes the content is there in the Japanese-English version, but for the study method I'm using I was hoping to have it split out separately.

Really helpful for high beginner low intermediate

This was perfect with a few sentences at a time before translation to give you a chance to catch as much as possible but not so long that you lose the thread. If absolute beginner (less than 50 hours dtidy under your belt) this is too advanced but if you have the basics this is a perfect way to bridge into intermediate
