Amazing Information

I loved this book! It has amazing information on gnosticism, Jesus as mythos, and the Pistis Sophia.

Deep dive into the allegories of the Bible with a heavy dip into Gnosticism.

This takes the time to expose literalist interpretations of the Bible and shows that the ancients were well aware of the original meanings. The original texts were meant to be stories that conveyed an idea that had spiritual depth and were used to enlighten people to the greater truths of this reality. Gnostic creationism is explained in depth: concepts like the Sophia, and the demiurge are explored. Essentially a reinterpretation of the Bible through a Gnostic lens. Instead of taking life so seriously, or being an ascetic; this book recommends just being a part of the experience with a wholehearted fascination while not being afraid. Like watching a movie at a theatre knowing it's fake but having fun being invested in the characters but understanding that it's just a game.
