It was early one sunny January morning in 2005 when Jacquie, who was up to walk our dog, quietly lent down to me in bed, lightly kissed me on the cheek, and whispered, "Love you, see you later."
Those were the last words she ever said to me. We follow the events of that day, the hospital, the surgery, the police, the 11-month murder trial, the press conference, and where myself and my boys are now, 13 years on. It also includes what hints and tips I used to keep us positive whilst rebuilding our lives and looking to the future.

Mourning a Terrible Tragedy
We all have a prurient interest in terrible things happening to normal people. That's what draws you into this book. But it's really a book about mourning the loss of the mother of your kids. Michael Ross copes well, but there's a lack of true love for his poor departed wife. What I found interesting was how his mourning compares with that of Dahr Jamail in his book, The End of Ice. Jamail is mourning the end of the world. His mourning comes across as more deeply felt, but both he and Ross are somewhat upbeat about it. It's well told and well read. But it is a bit too depressing.
