The Foster family has breathed life into their ancestral farm by coaxing the beautiful land and cliff side views of Lake Michigan into a majestic golf course known as Bingham Shores. Along with a world-class golf course, the property boasts a century-old restaurant, known for romantic themes and now a mystery. An old Bible found in the restaurant’s attic reveals a treasure map connected to the former farm. As word of the map spreads and speculation of the treasure mounts, new faces emerge in town and neighbors start looking at each other differently.
Leo Grimes came to town to cover the growing story of the treasure map mystery and is shocked when he realizes that Beth Henry, a fairly well-respected writer is moonlighting as a waitress at The Shores. He had met her years ago at a conference and then she seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. There is a good reason for her hiding out in Bingham Shores and with Leo digging into her past, he might find himself in the crosshairs of more than he can handle when her secrets come to light.
Beth loves the anonymity that comes with working at Bingham Shores. She left the life of being Charlotte Maines, a famous author, after a bad situation unfolded. After years of peace and quiet, Leo’s arrival opens up many old situations, no longer making her feel safe in her quiet little town.
