"En ese descolgado trozo de tierra en las entrañas del estrecho de Magallanes, tierra maldita para muchos, la muerte no era un concepto lineal ni tan definido, sino más bien sometido al escrutinio constante como a través de un caleidoscopio. La vía Damna era una condena de cuerpo y espíritu. Quien entraba, jamás salía".
Tras la destrucción y abandono del fuerte Bulnes en 1852, el primer asentamiento chileno en el inhóspito extremo austral, sus ruinas se convirtieron en el refugio improvisado para un centenar de infecciosos y alienados de diversas procedencias, todos lanzados por sus tripulaciones a morir en el mar. Era la vía Damna, un camino maldito de no retorno, un lugar de cruel oscuridad. Ningún lugareño osaba acercarse, temían a los enfermos que deambulaban bajo ajados velos blancos manchados con barro y sangre. Estaban abandonados por la sociedad, aunque todos bajo la custodia de una extraña mujer…
La vía Damna es una inquietante novela que mezcla la historia del extremo sur con el suspenso, la mitología ancestral aónikenk y los sucesos paranormales. Francisca Solar se adentra en nuestro pasado y nos devuelve una fábula en que el miedo y la búsqueda de justicia configuran el destino de sus personajes.

Buena historia y desenlace
Un libro interesante que mezcla historia y un mundo de personajes en torno a costumbres ancestrales que invitan a leer imaginándose a cada uno de ellos.

Apasionante. Un perfecto equilibrio entre la ambientación histórica y una portentosa imaginación. Francisca Solar merece su fama.

Muy entretenido, terror, misterio, contexto histórico, Patagonia, frio, mar. Todo mezclado en una excelente narrativa. Espero el siguiente de la autora.
