Acerca de esta escucha

All seems lost as a giant comet hurtles toward Earth, while Robbi’s Laddertop is thrown into chaos by the unleashing of Energy Spiders that now prowl the Power Web. As Robbi races against time to save the Laddertop and reveal its final secret, Azure and the rest of her research team discover the horrible truth about the comet and the existence of a different, malevolent group of aliens: The Takers.

It’s up to these brilliant children to work together, using their special gifts and the unique bonds they share, to find a way to stop the end of the world before it’s too late.

Good conclusion to current story

A good and reasonable third book, flowed well with other books.

Overall all three book ok, with only a little unbelievable story plot sections.

Great story. but volume was a little low

I thought the story was great and the performance very good overall. However, I think the average column should have been higher, maybe the mastering would benefit from more compression. I turned my headphones volume way up, but then if I got a notification on my device that was uncomfortably loud.

fun story

I liked the story and the reading, but I really didn't like all the production with the sounds and too much noise. I would have like the book read as a book rather than a play.

Engaging stormy line and characters

Narration is spellbinding, characters are well placed and story is very engaging. Hope you make more of this series.

Young and old authors combine to create a great story!

Though the influence of a young author in this book is clear, there is also a sophistication in the plot that is far beyond those who might be called sage for the sake of their years on earth. There are gray areas and the authors bravely explore them, having no white or black hats, until diversity is considered a plausible explanation. In some ways, these characters and this story reflect a potential evolutionary outcome of our own ever-growing political and socioeconomic polarization as a people. It’s a slippery slope when diversity becomes dissent and freedom is a concept, not a reality. The use of young people with flexible minds and semi-mechanical proxies is fascinating and likely part of our future as we combine carbon based biology with AI technology. A few generation ago, no one could have imagined that we would be continuously joined at the hip with a device that connects us to each other, events and general knowledge on any topic!

The full cast narration and sound effects are an exciting bonus! But is this book FUN you ask?! Yes, and it will keep you on your toes as you seek to unravel its mysteries!

Not very good

Even my young grandchildren thought it was too corny. Maybe it would be fine for pre teens.

Undeveloped novice writing

Very uncharacteristic of OSC. I suspect this series is only his in theme and name to promote his daughters writing.
It’s a rehash of Enders Game without any of the plot or character development. None of the characters develop anything more than a passing relationship with anyone else and the writing is that of freshman Fan-Fic.
The narrators are the players and caliber you’d expect from other OSC audio books and it was an enjoyable background while I did household chores but the story is predictable from the beginning and I didn’t bother pausing or rewinding if the vacuum got too loud and drowned it out.

Don’t anticipate listening again and was glad 2/3 of the series was free with audible. Had the third book been the one I needed to purchase (instead of the first before I knew better) I wouldn’t have.

Heavily promotes Evolution & Mocks Christianity

The first 2 were ok, this was the worst, and it started promoting evolution as fact and carried on as if it were the source of the universe and of man. It also mocked Christianity and major religion by calling Noah's story from the bible a "fable" and indicating it was fiction. Not exactly the type of things in this that you want your children getting into...
