Best Exercise in Growth for Any Leader

As a director, this book and the techniques are right on. It provided me with a review of the things I'm doing correctly and gave me insight into those things I need to change to engage all those I manage. I loved the exercises for new material to motivate my teams. I also enjoyed the insights into people's behavior and the workarounds that allowed me to engage the entire team. This book is a gem of information and wisdom for anyone who manages others. Highly recommend.

I got "voluntold" for management during COVID when others I worked with abruptly left. I had no real leadership skills or expertise. I was just an employee. I felt like it was the blind leading the dumb in a period where uncertainty ruled supreme. From actually sending emails instead of wasting everyone's time with useless meetings, this guide shows real-world examples and how to deal with them. Especially now that so many people work from home, this book explains why we need leaders who inspire us vs. managers who are more hindrance and often cause their team to lose motivation. No matter if you manage five people or five hundred, this guide will make you a better manager and leader.

There was so much great information in this book and I would say if you have any desire to be in management or leadership of any kind, you need this book! Many would think that this subject would be long and boring but I will tell you that it was so well presented that it was anything but slow and boring. I truly benefited from this book and I know that anyone who already is or wants to be in management and leadership will also benefit greatly from this book.
