Nice way to familiarize

I enjoyed this listening. Its great how you can hear similarities of terms used in English and Spanish. The word for blood, pain, were recognizable after hearing them repeatedly in different chapters. I liked reviewing numbers, days and months.

Multi-lingual Resource

I recommend this excellent resource for anyone in the medical field serving a multi-lingual community. Inside you'll find the lessons are easy to follow, and are presented in a daily order that makes sense. To be honest I wasn't overwhelmed at all by the pace the content was provided. The lessons are quick, thorough and effective to get an edge on speaking Spanish. You are guided through repetitions of Spanish words, terms, and scenarios that really apply to the medical field, which helped me memorize the information quickly! One of the things I like about audiobooks is that I can practice at my own pace without feeling embarrassed! Thanks to the narrator and Touri for creating such a great resource

Better than I anticipated

First of all, the narration is very clear, understandable and delivered at a welcoming pace. As a fluent Spanish and English speaker I found the narrator to be very accurate. Additionally, the narrator did a great job giving the listener the necessary tools to learn, through clear commands. Repetition is key in learning these new medical terms and phrases. All in all, I really enjoyed this book, and it was definitely worth the time I put in to improve my comprehension and speaking abilities. Give it a shot, you'll be grateful you did.

Very useful!

I recommend this book for anyone who would like to learn Spanish quickly. Easy to follow and the narration is personable.

Solid foundation for medical Spanish

I found this to be a wonderful intro to Medical Spanish. I have a decent understanding of Spanish, but learning niche or specialty jargon is always a challenge. Any medical professional who is willing to take the time to learn Spanish to better communicate with their patients will find this audiobook of great help. The narrator has a strong command of both the Spanish and English languages. His voice was able to captivate my attention through these daily exercises. The book has some basics language barrier words and phrases to ensure you can communicate right off the bat with patients. The daily lessons go into learning different body parts, organs and medical conditions typical in a medical professional's daily interactions. What I found great is that it also covers what to say in case of emergencies, accidents, and even pregnancies. There's a ton useful information that I advise you to take it slow. Learn one day at a time and the go back to reinforce what you already learned. Of course, the best way to get the most out of this audiobook is to practice with Spanish speakers!

No way you could learn any Spanish from this book. It’s a total waste of time.

Helpful tool for medical professionals

I have a pretty limited, but active vocabulary. I speak Spanish on a daily basis with my patients and this allowed me to expand the conversations I have with them. Being that providing excellent care in the patient's language, this audiobook gave me that extra push of vocab to make sure I fully understood what was being said. As a medical professional I am saving lives and I certainly don't want anything to get in the way from doing my job to the best of my abilities. Certainly not a language barrier. Also, if you happen to have a family member with health issues (chronic pain, elderly, etc.) then this is also useful. Pronunciation is broken down in a digestible manner, so you really learn how to enunciate each syllable of the word. A great overview of medical phrases and critical terminology, whether you need a basic level understanding or a more in depth one this is an audiobook that should be apart of your collection.

Spanish audible is working

It is not working I am to not able to listen to the audio

Ridiculous - pdf will not print

The PDF that goes along with the book requires a password to print, but no password is available. The audible password does not work. I called customer service. After about 40 minutes with the agent, she refunded the purchase because she said they did not have access to the password.

I have purchased other books with pdfs and never had a problem printing them.

The audiobook itself is just a few phrases for each day. If you do not already speak Spanish (like me), you will need to have the pdf document to see the words in order to build a vocabulary and understand what you are learning every day. Too bad.

Not useful

If you just want a list of words/phrase this is the book, but it will do nothing to advance your medical Spanish poorly organized
