As a young scholar, Edmund Donovan has been quite successful. Even before he earned his PhD, he successfully published two books about gender and cultural studies. But then, he encounters a different kind of recruiter.

She takes him out for drinks, teases him, and flirts with him. She is from Nova University, a brand-new institution, one that is looking for innovative minds like his.

Edmund doesn’t know it yet, but Nova City was founded by Melissa Tander with one ambition: create a brand-new city where women can rule while men are reduced to second-class citizens—or worse.
