A solid suspenseful romance.

While I’ve read suspenseful romances, this is my first involving a spy storyline and I quite enjoyed it.

The ins and outs of trying to fool those you love and the realization of making the choice to love someone with this line of work.

Thom is the boring fiancé of Betty. In one instance, their basic life changes. His other life exposed. All the while still professing his love for Betty and their tepid relationship evolving into passionate love at any cost.

Andi is stellar in this. If you’re a fan of hers, this is an absolute treat.

Action and Romance!! Like watching a movie!!

This was a fast-paced, action filled, romance that will definitely suck you in.
Tom and Betty have been together for a year and are about to get married. But Betty realizes that the nice man she’s been with all this time is just mediocre. She wants more from life so she decides to call off the wedding.
Packing up and moving out, Betty is suddenly thrown into an action movie where guns are blazing, bombs are exploding, and she’s being tied to a chair and questioned. Turns out, her mediocre fiancé is actually an operative and now both their lives are on the line.
The man she thought she knew is gone and in his place stands a sexy, dangerous, fighting machine.
This was a great and easy listen.
I would rate it 3.5 stars since i would’ve liked to have felt more connection between the characters or a little more depth to their history. But overall, if you’re looking for a quick and fun read, this is definitely it.

book reminds me of the old movie "True Lies". lots of action and lots of romance

Full of action...

I really enjoyed this story. Kylie Scott was creative in how the story progressed and character development. I really didn't want to leave it. There was a lot of undercover situations and I was wondering what would happen next. I actually got angry at one point, but I'll let you guess why. This was a great listen. Andi Arndt is a great narrator!

Do yourself a favor and listen right now. This book was fast paced, action packed, and filled with just of enough spice!!! Andi Ardnt knocked it out of the park!!!

I DIDN'T WANT IT TO END!

This book was fantastic and the audio just added to it! I loved this story. I thought it was unique and I fell in love with all the characters. this is one that I will listen to over and over.

Lies

Very unique. Romance style James Bond in a nerdy kind of way. Loved Betty, she was great. Loved the whole giving her the required amount of orgasms to keep things normal. What a hoot.

Keep Listening...

After about 15 minutes of listening, I nearly returned this one. So glad I didn’t! Talk about a twist! Not just a light-hearted love story, but a really great story-line that made me chuckle and even caused a few tears! I’m not a big fan of Andi Arndt, but she performs admirably in this one. By far the best of Kylie Scott I’ve “read” so far, I highly recommend. Just stick with it and you may enjoy as much as I!
