It is often noted that Psalm 118:8, “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man,” is the middle verse of the Bible. While one could debate the details of that claim, it is certain that this volume of Bishop Myron Powell’s series highlights the Psalms that are not only at the very central core of the Bible, but that equally must be hidden within the very core of our spiritual being.

His requested reward is that most human expression of praise, worship, thanksgiving, and adoration. Is it any wonder that these are the most common themes woven throughout the Psalms?
