Sweet forbidden age-gap romance

Bruce and Catherine's sweet forbidden age-gap romance is filled with drama, angst, intrigue, miscommunication, and misunderstandings. The characters are well developed. Very enjoyable

I totally enjoyed this lovely story. I loved how brilliant Catherine is and the way she handles the challenges she goes through. I loved how Bruce tried to help though some things went awry. The narrator is so good at what she does, the voices are so distinct. I enjoyed all the twists, suspense, and surprises.

Age Gap Relationship

Lovely Sassy Employee audiobook is narrated by Alanna Saunders who.effectively reads this age gap romance using great verbalization and expression. When Bruce agrees to hire Catherine as he helps to resolve her app problem. Their developing relationship has a variety of difficulties to overcome, along with drama, misunderstandings, and steamy chemistry.

Wonderful story.

I loved the connection between Bruce and Catherine, neither of them were expecting to fall for the other. Bruce had to confront his best friend, who is her father to explain that his feelings were real and he didn’t want anyone else. I was really happy that they were married and had 4 children in the future. 2 Boys and 2 Girls. I recommend this book to everyone who loves happily ever after.

May-December love affair

Bruce is the best friend of Catherine's father. He hired her to assist with their software/program, which caused them to become closer.

The story was well written It has wonderful characters-Catherine was brilliant though a little naive and Bruce was the ever supportive and loving boyfriend. The author took time to draw out the development of their love story as well as the dilemma they were put in. This was a truly nice May-December love story. (NOTE: Has love scenes and thus for mature readers only).

Good story line.

This was a great storyline.
There was just enough drama action
romance with a little steam and just a touch
of suspense to round off things just nicely.
The characters have an interesting relationship.

Lovely!

This is a fun read that I enjoyed listening to. The story is about Catherine and Bruce. He is her dad's best friend and then becomes her boss. I listened to the audio and felt the narrator did a good job. It is a touch forbidden and an age gap plot that develops pretty quick with some drama, misunderstandings, passion, love and more. I enjoyed every bit of the story and really like the characters.

Generic and Banal

I should have known by the title that this would not be a very good book. What author would title a book like that? It feels like a strange phrase someone who is not a native English speaker would say to describe somebody. And in fact, I get a strong sense that the author—or should I say publisher—is probably someone who has hired a low-rent ghostwriter to truly “author” this novel. Using ghostwriters is fine, of course—and it is so rampant these days, especially with courses out there that teach you how to do so—but publishers have to ensure they choose a good ghostwriter and then be sure they deliver a good product. This is not a good product or a good romance. It jumps all over the place, trying to hit all the marks a romance should without actually developing any depth of plot or character. The hero is considerably older than the heroine, but he's remarkably immature for a man of his age. The relationship tilts and turns in ways that make little sense regarding plot, character, and the natural evolution of either. They run so hot and cold that it doesn't even make sense for romantic fiction, where that tends to happen more often than it does in real life. The dialogue wasn't in any way how people actually speak. The language was so stilted that it's even hard to describe. It's like the “author” is parroting poorly written “telling, not showing” fanfiction.

Even though this is a somewhat longer story, far too much was shoehorned into the story, including a long and somewhat tortuous subplot about the heroine, her ex, her potential startup, etc. The author/ghostwriter clearly had no sense of how startups and non-compete clauses truly work. The business/startup aspects were nearly laughable. I also like (not!) how so many people are billionaires in the story. I know “billionaire” is a massive contemporary romance genre, but come on, so many people in a story *can’t* be billionaires and toss around high-dollar amounts like they’re pennies! The intimate scenes were so generic—not remotely character-driven or detailed in any meaningful way—that they are a total snoozefest. The romantic arc didn't feel like an arc at all. Instead, both characters ping-ponged around with a variety of hot-and-cold feelings that made no sense whatsoever. There are scads of well-written contemporary romance stories out there. This one isn't remotely close to being that, so I suggest finding another one.
