Love and Respect

It was a bit long but, then again, there’s nothing I would have left out. I could feel the love and the respect. I could feel his pain. You made me cry. Do you know Danny you always were the richest person in the world? Do you know how many long for what you have? Maybe not living in your “White House” so much but the genuine love of people is what we all crave!

I couldn’t stop listening to this beautiful life story! I’d laugh and then I’d cry! It was wonderful to hear Zoro narrate his book and hear his emotions as he read about his mama. What a love he had for her and her for her children and family. So fun to hear about landmarks in a place I grew up at the very same time he did. Way to go Zoro!!! I'm going to listen to it again and again.

I never knew your name but I heard you all my life! Your story is heart breaking and heart warming! Your Momma did give you a gift like no other! Amazing Story

This is an absolutely amazing true story of a young boy turning into a man, who dreamed big and always had his mother’s support. I found it hard to put down since it was such an exciting story. It’s about having faith in your skills, being positive and not giving up. This is also a book about friends, family and overcoming hardships. Zoro did a great job in narrating this book. It was easy to listen to the incredible details of his life. Talk about being a fly on the wall. So many great stories about his famous friends while he was still young and his experiences performing with some of the best musicians in the world. There is even a great drum solo at the end of the book.

Honesty and Humility

The story is riveting and kept me listening intently all the way through the last drum solo.

Maria’s Scarf is a a book to inspire all people. It will make you smile, laugh, and cry as you follow Zoro and his family’s story. There is something so powerful about what can happen when someone unconditionally believes in you. I think we all can be encouraged by that message. Maria and Zoro’s relationship is a beautiful story of hope, love, and determination even in the face of poverty, hardship, and discrimination. This book is a great read for all ages! I highly recommend.

Life & perspective changing. Make it a movie!

Zoro, my family and I attend bayside Adv. after being in FT worship ministry for years we landed there. I kept hearing your name around there and had no idea who you were. Once they announced your book I downloaded it and listened. Even my kids listened to pieces when I in the car with me. They fell in love with your stories and resilience. As a musician I loved hearing about your love for music and how it drives you and ministered to you even in the hard seasons. I feel the same. When you said at the end about how even if your dreams don’t come true you can help encourage it to come true for your kids… (not exactly those words) I lost it. Your story is amazing! God is not don’t with you yet. 🙌🏻
