There is a good number of people in the world today who view mental illness side effects as debilitating and uncomfortable, fostering stigmas and discrimination toward individuals with mental health issues. When you admit you have a mental health issue, it can lead to different types of exclusion or discrimination, either inside social circles or inside of the work environment. This is why most individuals with mental health issues will not seek help for their mental illness.
Mental health stigma takes away from the individual character and creates negative generalizations. Most of the time, it is because of the lack of education or, more tragically, false information. And the individual with the mental illness suffers.

Trevor Clinger butchers delivery
The narrator speaks as though there was a period after every word. It is almost unbearable to get over. Thanks to the 1.25 speed, I was able to get through it.
The information is very basic and general, pointing out that mental illness is prevalent, and more needs to be done to address it. Stigma contributes to less than 50% of sufferers seeking help and doctors failing to recognize 2/3 of cases. It mentions the large economic impact and states that realizing that the disease is not tied to one’s personality or is not one’s fault is key in defeating the stigma. This is much more nuanced issue, and for 2015, this is very rudimentary analysis. For better understanding of stigma, read the Mark of Shame by Stephen Hinshaw.

Decent book, really bad narration
The content of the book is not bad but the narration is terrible. The book cheap and short so it’s not the worst thing in the world but it’s hard to pay attention with such bad narration.
