I’ve lived my whole life thinking I wasn’t magic. Believing that all the supernatural awesomeness was for everyone else. I shunned the world. Now, at middle-age I discover everything I thought about my life up until was founded on half-truths.
When the pub I inherited from my unknown father gets burnt to the ground by the demons, well, they’re just asking for me to get involved. You can’t just come to my town, burn down my building and get away with it.
Only thing is, the situation in Cougar Creek is a much bigger mess than I had realized. The great showdown is coming between the Cougar Creek Coven and the dark fae/demigod coalition that is looking to open the portal and destroy New Attica.
The coven takes me in, but the conditions are pretty fierce. I have to use my powers for good.
Not evil.
At my age, you’d think that decision would be easier to make, but I suddenly feel free of my past life and I’m ready to embrace this new one. Especially if I get to kick butt and avoid night sweats. I'm so going to rock this mid-life crisis.
