Something eerie happened to us that night.
It was supposed to be a road trip to reconnect with my younger sister. We weren’t getting any younger and life had thrown us a few curves lately. Like her divorce and my…well, I’m not getting into that.
Just two days into the trip, (getting lost, but that’s beside the point!) our world tipped off its axis. It began that frightening morning when we woke up, still sitting in the front cab of the RV. We were never the same women after that.
Maren can levitate things with just a thought, now. She freaked, ready to abandon ship…or in this case the rig. With a logical "Vulcan" mind like Spock, it doesn’t compute and totally unnerves her.When we stumble onto a colony of Fae, and some other mystical beings, I realize we aren’t alone on this spinning blue planet. There’s a lot more to this world than I ever dreamed.
Fae? Elves? Werewolves? Oh. My. God. Bring it on! I’m all in!
Except some of the Fae aren’t too friendly. And there’s a sexy Vampire who’s not keen on helping us or the cadre of Mythicals when we get embroiled in a Fae rebellion. A freaking rebellion where Maren gets kidnapped to be some kind of "bait"! This road trip changed our lives. That is, if we survive.

I’m not sure if it held my interest enough that I’d continue the series. Maybe at some point as I can’t pin point why it was average.

Entertaining excellent
This was a fun entertaining story with some fanciful twists that I very much enjoyed. I'm looking forward to more in this series. I enjoyed watching the sister's adventures and their bond growing by the end of the book. So many laughs. I'd love to see these ladies find positive relationships with men and find a hea. I hope Meran's soon to be ex gets what he deserves. Loved it. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a good job bringing it to life.

Wonderful sister adventure!
I loved Midlife Magical Mystery Tour by Shelley Dorey. Kara and Maren take off on an RV for a sisters’ road trip to escape their problems for a while. But, after missing 3 days, what they encounter is werewolves, fairies, vampires and aliens! Its a fun story of sisterhood and friendship, and I enjoyed the sisters relationship. The narration by Jennifer Pickens is outstanding. Her performance brings the characters and story to life. I received a free audiobook code for my honest review.

This is a Fun Read/ listen
This was fun, a road trip in middle age where at a RV camp. Ground these 2 ladies stumble on mystery and supernatural happening. One of these 2 sisters loves fantacy tales and reading about supernatural beings. While the other sister is straight, science sees to be believed type of lady. Narrator does a very good job with the characters and Storyline.
