Predictable Love Story

The love story was very predictable with only a few twists. Due to the predictability, it was hard paying attention. I felt like I could zone out and come back knowing I didn’t miss anything. I also few the story lacks closure. If you don’t mind know what’s coming next without listening then, this book is for you.

Ethan and Piper

I was so glad to see how thins turned out for these 2 characters. I read the first in the series about his brother Owen and Cali. Their story is so good. Ethan and Piper's story was so good also. This story holds a ton of angst but it encompasses other characters in troubled situations. I am not sure if there is more in the series but if there is not, please write a bonus epilogue so we can see how things turn out in the future. Logan does a great job with this one.

I received a copy of the audiobook for an honest review. Ethan and Piper both are struggling and dealing with personal and family issues when they meet. Their relationship really begins to develop when they spend a week getting to know each other while in Hawaii for Ethan's brother's wedding. Once they get home, their relationship continues to develop and grow stronger. The story also had some suspense thrown in. I really enjoyed the story and thought the narrator, Logan McAllister, did a great job.

On the fence with this story

I found the romance to be lacking and the heroine to whinny. In this story you have the mafia, addiction, redemption, and forgiveness. I just felt like it was missing or lacking the wow factor. But all in all it was a decent listen.

I got this via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. This is part of a series but is well read as a stand-alone. This is filled with twists and turns that make
Ethan and Piper's story memorable.The suspense sneaks up on you and makes the story interesting. The narrator was perfect for this book.

Decent start, but the story petered out after an hour or so. Book could have been shortened, weak plot. Narrator decent. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Good Listen

Ethan thinks he does nor deserve anything good in life until Piper. They start a slow relationship and fall quick. They are now fighting for their lives and her struggle to accept help. Great Narration. I was voluntarily provided this review copy audiobook at no charge by the author, publisher and/or narrator.

Nice Romance

This was book 2 in the series. it can be read/listened to as a standalone but you will understand more if you read/listen to the first book. As with the first book, I felt like the romance could have ended after 3-4 hours but there was still another 3 hours in the book. *Spoiler alert* I was frustrated by the story conflict. The h's father owed money to a loan shark and is threatening the H's family. so instead of the H's billionaire brother paying the loan shark $100k, he hires body guards for everyone. The h and H struggle to get the money and finally, the billionaire says, "I'll loan it to you!" Sheesh! Then after going through all that, the father goes right back to the loan shark so they ship him off to a retirement home and that solves everything? Really? The father need counseling and zero tolerance.
