once again mr Sedaris made me laugh til I died then died laughing again! cool.

I love finding someone w/ a twisted sense of humor

David Sedaris -- the one and only. I'm a 30-year-old woman in Nebraska and can't tell you how difficult it is to find someone with the same, twisted sense of humor that I have yielded.

As usual, this story was hilarious! And also as usual, his reading made it even better!

I take my laughs where I can get them these days. belly laughs,now they are few and far between. david sedaris gives me belly laughs!
I identify with david and a lot of his characters which provides those belly laughs. the narrating was especially good in this book!

David Sedaris outrageously funny and emotionally intelligent

What can I say? He is the absolute best and Michael three favourite! Very cute sense of observation and willing to admit all kinds of stuff that most of us would not! He is a complete gift

I have just started listening to audio books. My first three selections were by David Sedaris. I drive 3 hours between Emerald Isle and Durham twice a week. I find myself laughing out loud during the drive and arriving at my destination seemingly in the blink of an eye. It feels so good to laugh out loud!

Side-splittingly Funny

I first heard Sedaris' Live at Carnegie Hall, and since then can't get enough of him. Because this book was so short, I almost didn't buy it. I'm so glad I did! David and Amy should team up on more narrations... she added hilarious voice to hilarious writing. I recommend it as one of my favorites.

It's hard to compare David Sedaris to anyone.

Have you listened to any of David Sedaris and Amy Sedaris ’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I have all of his books, and audio books. I can't imagine anyone else reading his works. Her has a wonderful voice, and great comedic timing.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh, and it had beautifully heart breaking moments, followed by David's sense of humor that brought levity to the sad, sometimes depressing moments. This book is about a real persons life after all. How can you not have moments both up and down?

Any additional comments?

He has a way of making the mundane momentous, and the weird and unusual seem completely normal and acceptable. It's always funny, and a bit sad at times, but I find I walk away learning something about myself by the time the book ends. As far as I'm concerned that says more about David Sedaris' books than any review I could give.
