I take my laughs where I can get them these days. belly laughs,now they are few and far between. david sedaris gives me belly laughs!
I identify with david and a lot of his characters which provides those belly laughs. the narrating was especially good in this book!

David Sedaris outrageously funny and emotionally intelligent

What can I say? He is the absolute best and Michael three favourite! Very cute sense of observation and willing to admit all kinds of stuff that most of us would not! He is a complete gift

I have just started listening to audio books. My first three selections were by David Sedaris. I drive 3 hours between Emerald Isle and Durham twice a week. I find myself laughing out loud during the drive and arriving at my destination seemingly in the blink of an eye. It feels so good to laugh out loud!

Honest & Sincere

This is a collection of brutally honest autobiographical stories of David Sedaris' upbrining and life. We sometimes found ourselves wincing at his childhood accounts and then laughing the next moment at the author's way of finding the wry humor in otherwise disturbing events. My husband and I would look at each other and say, "Jeez, we thought OUR families were crazy. They were Ozzy and Harriet compared to this guy's family!" As always, his tales are sincere and humorous and perfectly delivered.

Extremely Funny!

Don't deny yourself this book! It really makes you laugh out loud! It's absolutely worth it!
