    This week hosts Tiffany Cross, Angela Rye, and Andrew Gillum cut through the media fog around Brett Favre’s testimony to Congress. No, he was not summoned to Congress to testify about his Parkinson’s diagnosis, as the headlines might have you believe (we wish him the best). In fact, he was there to explain his alleged misuse of welfare funds. While Mississippi failed to provide TANF benefits (AKA welfare) to its poorest residents, Favre managed to receive funding for speeches, volleyball stadium, and a startup from the same pool of funding. While he has yet to be punished, the woman who broke the story is facing JAIL TIME! In even more somber news, the hosts reflect on the state-sponsored lynching of inmate Marcellus Williams. In the lead up to his execution, the victim’s family members, the non-profit group The Innocence Project, and even local prosecutors pleaded for a stay of execution, but the state of Missouri killed him anyway. And we close the show with a heated discussion sparked by Whoopi Goldberg’s defense of Janet Jackson, after she made false comments about Kamala Harris’s ethnicity. Excellent commentary and format

I saw this podcast promoted on Joy Reid’s MSNBC show, The Reid Out. I immediately looked for it as soon as it dropped and I’m so glad that I did. I’m a huge fan of all 3 hosts and missed seeing them on news outlets. On each weekly podcast, they share powerful personal stories and offer timely and insightful commentary on key issues that are glossed over in mainstream news. I’ve felt informed, inspired, and energized after each episode. I highly recommend this podcast, it is definitely is worth a listen.

Just what I needed

This podcast is just what I needed and what I have been waiting for. I love Tiffany and really been waiting for her return to some platform. I love Angela, so sad to hear what happened to her on that network. Best of luck you guys on this new venture.
