I enjoy having a main character who has flaws like normal people. I like May and she is getting stronger and better in her solves and getting to know her big sister Carrie, not Kate as one review said.

Weakest female lead
This should be called the Kate Moore Series because in every book, Kate is the strong character and May is portrayed as a weak, whining, constantly unsure of herself. She is always second place to her sister and in every book, she spends more time worrying what everyone else thinks and very little on the crime at hand. I find it annoying that with almost all the other female leads, Blake Pierce has strong women. May doesn’t compare to them. I prefer the Jessie Hunt books. At least Jessie has overcome horrors and though she doubts herself sometimes, she doesn’t spend the entire book whining to her boyfriend or anyone else why she had to face all she did. Please make May gain some confidence and backbone and stop making her a doormat for her sister and parents.
