Veronica “Ronnie” Wyndham works the graveyard shift in the ICU at St. Mary’s, in Winter Creek. She doesn’t mind, as she has no family, no beau, no one to go home to. Ronnie has bad luck with men, to the point that she avoids relationships. She’s given up; on her faith, in men, in trust. Until she meets Dr. David Veneto, a handsome oncologist, who is obviously interested in her.
When it comes to men, Ronnie feels like a jinx. She doesn’t trust them, what with her past history, so she tries to ignore David’s interest. Nevertheless, after being reminded that many of her patients never get second chances, she begins to have second thoughts.
Can Ronnie learn to trust again?
