Outstanding

Humility, patience, and love are key ingredients to leading through serving others. Scott weaves these into the art of sharing scars through personal stories. His approach helps create the trust needed to bridge the noise that distracts and divides. Life is a team sport - this is a powerful way to build your team to do great things together!

Too Much Filler

Didn't make it past the first few chapters. Mr. Mann likes storytelling, as he will say in the book. Unfortunately, his storytelling is very long-winded and padded with stuff that could easily be left out. I didn't want to slog through all that to get to the crux of the story.
Would it have been worth the slog in the end? Perhaps. But I've got too much sh*t to do to find out.

Let’s save ourselves

This book is a mind-changing book for anyone who wants to be a better human and a more effective leader. Masterful storytelling that will keep you reading.

No one is coming to save us. It’s up to ,us and the ideas that Mann offers are proven to work in difficult situations, not just in theory or academic research.

In this book, he shows all of us exactly why, what, and how WE can contribute at a much greater level than we have been.

It's equal parts inspirational and practical, with page-turning stories and super-specific actions. This will remain a reference for me, and I’ll read it again in 6 months to learn more deeply how to apply the ideas.

It was thought provoking and inspiring! I found it moving, and a humble man trying to share his experiences and lessons learned for the betterment of everyone who hears him.

the "TIPS herein are VITAL to go VIRAL and RUN WITH!" (quoting my words with emphasis on VISION)

A different take

This book had a different take on leadership and how to connect. It was worth the read I think.

The emotion the author conveys.

At first I didn't think I would take much away from this book. By the end of this book I felt like I could form true coalitions and...get big shit done!

Thank you for sharing more of your life and stories with the world. I hope to continue to find ways for our paths to cross in the future. I’m forever appreciative of your knowledge, mentorship and friendship!! I will be recommending this read to many.

Poorly written

A fifth grader could have written this better. The author gave no insights into how to improve personal skills to improve trust. This is what he led us to believe. Instead, it is a poorly-written memoir. I guess the Onion was right about the lower percentage of all graduating classes. Save your money.
