L. Ron Hubbard.
I want to admit that I read the book as a child before downloading it as an adult. I liked the book a lot; however, L. Ron Hubbard's style seems and is old fashioned and his characters are simple archetypes with the main character being perfect at everything.
Listen to this book of you want to hear a fun and silly story about a space man doctor who is several centuries old and his four armed servant (slave) who is dim, loyal and strong.
Also by L. Ron Hubbard is Final Blackout. Try it if you like this.

BRILLIANT!
Perhaps the best of Hubbard's fictional writing. Each story is a superb vignette, fantastic, but believable. Roddy McDowall sets the standard for voice acting. Superb characterisation. Thoroughly recommended. Very entertaining and a good listen.

Excellent very original
Great series of stories about intergalactic travel with the medical Soldier of Light. If your looking for a completely original book then go no further. It moves very fast and the narrator is fantastic. All in all a great read
