When sporting events were put on hold in March 2020, commentator Andrew Cotter shifted to working from home. The one-on-one competitors? His two Labrador retrievers, Olive and Mabel. In the hilarious videos that ensued, the dogs engage in various contests, from bone-snatching and breakfast-eating to crushing it on the dog walk, while Cotter narrates to hilarious effect. The scene of Mabel, simply standing still in a fetid pond was one of the most popular. Why? Because this is how dogs live, and Cotter captured it with humor and joy. It's why the series has been viewed more than 50 million times, entertaining dog owners, sports fans, and celebrities around the world. Olive and Mabel are more than online celebrities, however, as revealed in this charming narrative.

Loved Every Minute...
I first purchased the book in print, but found myself holding off reading it. I knew Mr. Cotter's voice would bring so much more emotion & humor to his adventures with Olive & Mabel. It was worth the wait. Truely loved every minute. Looking forward to your next project, but in the meantime please consider becoming a narrator for other audiobooks. Your voice is just that good.

Best Audible Book!
Enjoyed the clips on the internet so wasn’t sure how the audio would be without visuals, but it was fantastic. It made me so happy and was sad when it was over. Haven’t felt that way with many books lately. Well worth the listen!!!!

All pet lovers should hear this one
I adored this book. I am so glad that I heard it with the rich Irish accent. So much better than if I had read it myself. Dogs do bring love and companionship to our lives. I laughed many times over the antics that were shared as I know how true they are. You will enjoy this book if you are a pet lover.

What an enjoyable listen
I adore Labrador Retrievers so I was happy to hear more about the breed while enjoying Olive and Mabel stories. Like so many, I saw the viral videos featuring Olive and Mabel so I was intrigued to learn more about the backstory. Bonus points for the author’s excellent narration with his Scottish accent and rollicking sense of humor. I loved it!

Get it!

THE BEST BOOK EVER!!!!!!
This is an amazing book I love it so much I’ve never read it but the audio version is amazing I think I’m going to read it and if I do it it’s gonna be 55555 out of five it is literally amazing I recommend so much please read it.

Totally entertaining
I’ve had a dog most of my life. I can identify with his descriptions, but he says them in such a dry, humorous way! I smoked through most of the book and laughed out loud very many times. He brought back many memories (although I’ve never climbed a monroe, let alone with dogs). I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants something light, easy and amusing.
