Resumen del Editor
When he begins searching for answers, an assassin begins his own search - for him.
In Tehran, while hiding out from the Iranian secret police, CIA officer, Titus Ray, finds shelter with a group of Iranian Christians. Compelled by their unwavering faith, the battle-hardened agent becomes a believer shortly before they smuggle him out of Iran to freedom in Turkey.
Returning to the States, he discovers his Iranian mission failed because of political infighting within the Agency. After delivering a scathing indictment against the Deputy Director of Operations, he's forced to take a year's medical leave in Oklahoma.
Before leaving Langley, however, he discovers a Hezbollah hit man has targeted him for assassination. Now, while trying to figure out what it means to be a follower of Christ, he must decide if the Iranian couple he meets in Oklahoma has ties to the man who's trying to kill him, and if Nikki Saxon, a beautiful local detective, can be trusted with his secrets.

Historia
Alan Gregory is a clinical psychologist with a thriving practice in Boulder, Colorado. His life begins to unravel when one of his female patients is found in an apparent suicide and the local paper begins printing accusations from an unnamed source of sexual impropriety between the woman and Dr. Gregory. He launches a psychological and personal quest for the truth that rapidly intensifies when more of his patients die untimely deaths, and Gregory suspects not only that the deaths are related but that another one of his patients may be somehow involved. Lacking facts but roused by suspicion and troubled by seemingly random acts of terror around him, Gregory starts to fear for the safety of the people he loves. The question of the inviolability of confidential disclosures made to Gregory by his patients - privileged information - becomes crucial as the psychologist pursues an unsettling romance with Lauren Crowder, a lovely deputy district attorney investigating one of the deaths. Bound to silence, Gregory follows the psychological tracks of someone he fears may be a cunning and disturbed killer, while turning to his enigmatic but supportive partner, Diane Estevez, for counsel, and to his tart-tongued female urologist neighbor for support. The sinister, surprising drama unfolds against Boulder's Rocky Mountain backdrop, in the arresting natural beauty of Aspen, and in the midst of a baroque Halloween costume party in downtown Boulder. Finally, in a lonely mountain lodge enshrouded in menace, the story comes to its breathtaking climax.

Historia
Father Kevin Thrall, chaplain to an inner-city parochial school in Washington, D.C., leads a quiet and rewarding life. But to the Vatican, Thrall's past of elite military combat is uniquely suited for a dangerous mission - one directly tied to the mysterious prophecy revealed by the Blessed Virgin to three Portuguese shepherd children. The three Secrets of Fatima were closely held by the Vatican for decades, but many believe that the Vatican withheld important - and possibly dangerous - parts of the Third Secret.

A behind-the-scenes operator at the CIA, Wallace was integral to the agency's secret war against China's national intelligence service, which infiltrates government offices, major businesses, and systems crucial to our security. Wallace had severely damaged China's Washington spy ring with a devastating ruse, a so-called "black swan", in which a deep-undercover female agent targeted and destroyed a key Chinese official. Now, Wallace's mysterious death suggests that the CIA itself has been compromised and that China has someone inside the agency.

Very good spy thriller and performance
This book is so well written, and it definitely hooked me in with the plots and sub-plots. It has the whole multifaceted CIA spy stuff going on with great characters, and Titus' newly found Christianity as part of his character. I also enjoyed the puppy. There is a thread that flows to the next book. I look forward to it! The performance is really very good!!!

Great beginning to unique series
At first glance a Christian Spy Thriller seems like a made up niche that cold never succeed. This one however really works. Yes, Titus has found God, yes he is a spy, and yes it all somehow works. Unique. No problem letting the kids listen with you.
I will definitely be moving on to number 2 next month.

Pretty good
The spy genre is my favourite and I can't rank this at the very top, but I'm still hooked and will likely read the whole bunch. It is nice to leave out the gratuitous violence, endless descriptions of weapons and swear words. Instead, we get description of landscaping and decor....there are moments one can feel this was written by a woman. It may be the start of a new genre, Cozy Espionage. I'm in! I do like a character that is trying to be a better person and answer deep questions in his life, so the Christian angle is just fine with me. People of faith like to read too.

Surprisingly Good
Although I am a Christian, I hesitate to read books that profess to have a religious element. I tend to find these books overdone, unrealistic, and preachy. If I, as a Christian, feel that way, I can't imagine how nonbelievers get through such books. Ehrlich manages to include the main character's beginning spiritual journey without it becoming an overwhelming part of the story. It felt real. The story line was interesting, if a little lite. I wouldn't classify the story as must read, but it's good.

Great start to an intriguing storyline. Being a Christian and former Intel officer I am entralled. I do wish they have different narrators especially for female roles.
